Have you ever dreamt of having a dedicated music space at home but worried your apartment or house just wouldn’t cut it? You’re not alone.

Countless musicians, from bedroom beat-makers to seasoned band members, grapple with the challenge of carving out a creative sanctuary without sacrificing precious square footage or turning their dwelling into a personal mosh pit for the neighbors.

Here’s where the magic of sliding glass doors swoops in to save the day (and your ears). Forget bulky traditional doors that eat up valuable room and make equipment maneuvering a logistical nightmare. Sliding glass doors offer a sleek, space-saving solution that keeps the good vibes flowing in your studio while keeping the noise complaints at bay.

Intrigued? Let’s dive deeper into why sliding glass doors might be the perfect fit for your musical haven.

The Square Footage Shuffle: Every Inch Counts

We’ve all been there. You meticulously plan your dream studio layout, meticulously positioning your instruments, monitors, and that coveted vintage synth you finally snagged. But then, reality hits – the door.

A standard hinged door swings open, claiming a hefty chunk of precious floor space. Suddenly, your meticulously crafted setup feels cramped, and that initial burst of creative energy starts to fizzle.

Sliding glass doors eliminate this spatial headache. They glide effortlessly along a track, requiring minimal clearance when opened. This translates to more usable square footage in your studio, allowing you to arrange your gear optimally and move around freely without feeling like you’re constantly doing the door-dodging dance.

Making Large Equipment a Breeze

Let’s face it, musicians often have an arsenal of gear that wouldn’t look out of place in a rockstar’s dressing room. Guitars, keyboards, drum sets – these instruments are the lifeblood of your music, but lugging them around a cramped space can be a frustrating obstacle to creativity.

Sliding glass doors come to the rescue once again. Their smooth-gliding mechanism allows for wider openings compared to traditional hinged doors. This makes it a breeze to move bulky equipment in and out of your studio, saving you the hassle of squeezing your prized possessions through narrow doorways or contorting yourself into awkward positions.

Beyond Functionality: A Touch of Modern Studio Flair

Sliding glass doors aren’t just practical – they add a touch of modern elegance to your music space. The clean lines and seamless integration with walls create a visually open and airy environment, fostering a sense of inspiration. Plus, the natural light that filters through the glass can do wonders for boosting your mood and creativity.

Imagine yourself jamming out in your studio, bathed in warm sunlight streaming through the glass doors. It’s a far cry from the dark, cramped feeling of a traditional studio with a solid door.

Configurability: Tailor the Door to Your Studio Needs

The beauty of sliding glass doors lies in their adaptability. They come in various sizes and configurations to suit your specific studio layout. Whether you have a small, dedicated space or a larger room you’re partitioning, a sliding glass door option will seamlessly integrate into your design.

Need a wider opening for easy equipment movement? Opt for a double sliding door configuration. Have a more compact studio? A single sliding door might be all you need.

Soundproofing Considerations: How to Strike the Right Balance

Of course, the primary concern for any music studio is sound control. While sliding glass doors offer undeniable space-saving advantages, you might wonder if they can contain the noise. The good news is that with a little planning, you can achieve a good balance between functionality and soundproofing.

Here are some things to consider:

  • Glass Type – Opt for thicker, tempered glass for better sound insulation.
  • Seals – Ensure the door has proper seals around the edges to minimize sound leakage.
  • Double Glazing – Consider double-glazed glass panels for even better soundproofing.

By discussing your specific needs with a qualified contractor specializing in soundproofing solutions, you can find sliding glass doors that practically balance space efficiency and noise control.

The Final Note: A Studio Oasis Awaits

With their space-saving functionality, smooth operation for easy equipment movement, and modern aesthetic appeal, sliding glass doors are a compelling choice for musicians looking to create a dedicated music haven in their homes. They allow you to maximize your studio’s footprint, eliminate the frustration of maneuvering bulky equipment, and cultivate an inspiring environment that fuels creativity.

So, ditch the door-dodging routine and embrace the seamless flow of sliding glass doors. Your musical sanctuary awaits, and the soundtrack to your life is about to get a lot louder (in the best way possible). Now, go forth and create!

What Makes An Outstanding Name?

Coming up with a great brand name for a barber salon is no easy task. It should be memorable, eye-catching, and reflect the values of the business. Here are some tips to help you choose an outstanding brand name.

First, consider the tone you want your business to have: is it professional and upscale or more casual and fun? If you’re going for a sophisticated vibe, you might opt for something classically elegant or ornate. A casual atmosphere could call for something playful or cheeky. Think about words that evoke the feeling you’re aiming for and pick one that stands out.

Second, think about what sets your barber salon apart from others in the area. Is it modern styling techniques? An emphasis on hygiene? An old-school approach to service? Choose a word that reflects this unique quality or captures its essence in a creative way. This will help customers remember your brand and make it easier to stand out from competitors.

Factors To Consider In Choosing A Name

Interestingly, nearly 75% of consumers are more likely to remember a brand name if it is unique and memorable. When selecting the perfect name for your barber salon, there are several factors to consider that can help make your brand stand out from the competition.

  • Pick a name that captures the essence of your business: A great brand name should evoke feelings such as trust and dependability. Consider incorporating words that reflect the services you provide and create a sense of familiarity with potential customers.
  • Keep it simple yet creative: Opt for something easy to spell, pronounce, and remember. Avoid overly complicated verbiage or references that may be difficult for consumers to grasp.
  • Think about future growth: As your business expands, you want the name to remain relevant and reflective of what you offer. Consider how the name will scale as you add additional services or locations in the future.

Choosing an outstanding brand name takes time and effort but is worth it in order to ensure customer loyalty and recognition in the long-term. It is important to understand what makes a strong name and consider all aspects when making this decision for your barber salon.

7 Tips for Choosing a Name for a Rock Band

Choosing a name for a music rock band can be not only a challenging task, but also a fun process, especially if you are a barber playing some cool rock music. Follow these tips to choose a name that reflects your band’s style, personality, and sound.

  1. Brainstorm: Get together with your bandmates and brainstorm potential names. Write down any ideas that come to mind, no matter how silly or unconventional they may seem.
  2. Consider your genre: Your band’s name should reflect the type of music you play. If you’re a rock band, you may want to choose a name that’s edgy, bold, and powerful.
  3. Think about your message: Consider the message you want to convey through your music and choose a name that aligns with that message. If your music is about social justice, for example, you may want to choose a name that reflects that message.
  4. Look for inspiration: Inspiration for band names can come from many sources, including books, movies, and popular culture. You may want to consider your favorite bands, songs, or albums for ideas.
  5. Make it memorable: Choose a name that’s easy to remember and easy to pronounce. Avoid names that are too long, complicated, or difficult to spell.
  6. Check availability: Before you settle on a name, check to make sure it’s not already taken by another band. You can do a quick online search to see if the name is already in use.
  7. Get feedback: Once you have a shortlist of potential names, get feedback from friends, family, and fans. Ask for their opinions and suggestions, and choose the name that resonates most with your audience.

Popular Names For Barber Salons

When selecting a name for your barber salon, there are many factors to consider. First and foremost, you want to choose a name that will be memorable and stand out from the competition. It should also reflect the style and atmosphere of your business. Popular names for barber salons include classic terms like “Barber Shop” or “Cutting Edge Barbershop”, as well as more creative ones such as “Clipper Palace” or “The Buzz Factory”.

When deciding on a name, it is important to consider what type of clients you want to attract. If you are targeting an older demographic, then going with a traditional name may be best. On the other hand, if you are looking to draw in younger clientele, then opting for a more modern or creative name may be the way to go. Whichever route you choose, make sure that it reflects the unique services that your business provides and appeals to your ideal customer base.

Using A Word Generator Tool

Using a word generator tool is a great way to come up with unique and creative brand names for a barber salon. Word generators provide suggestions based on user-defined criteria, like keywords or phrases. They can also be used to generate random words related to the topic.

Advantages of Word GeneratorsDisadvantages of Word Generators
Quick and easyLimited content
Provides inspirationSometimes irrelevant results
Creates unique ideasCan produce an overwhelming list of options
Generates random wordsNot all words are trademarkable

Using a word generator tool can provide users with endless possibilities for their barber salon’s brand name. However, it is important to remember that not all words generated by the tool may be trademarkable. Furthermore, the results may be overwhelming, making it difficult to narrow down the options. Therefore, it is best to use this tool as an inspiration and not as a definitive source for creating a brand name.

Avoiding Common Mistakes

Now that you have generated a few ideas for your barber salon brand name, it is important to ensure you avoid making any common mistakes. To do this, keep the following guidelines in mind. First, make sure your brand name is easy to say and spell. This will help customers identify and remember your business more easily. Additionally, try to keep the name as short as possible while still conveying its meaning. Long names can be hard both to remember and pronounce.

Finally, try not to use words that are too obscure or difficult to understand. While you want your brand name to stand out from the rest of the competition, using complicated words may hinder potential customers from even trying to learn what your business offers. It is also best practice to research the existing barber salons in your area so that you don’t come up with a similar sounding name by accident – this could cause confusion for potential customers and result in lost business for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Much Does It Cost To Create A Brand Name For A Barber Salon?

Cost is an important factor to consider when creating a brand name for a barber salon. It’s essential to know how much it will cost you to come up with the right name. Depending on the type of service you provide, your budget, and other factors, there are several ways to create a great brand name without breaking the bank.

For starters, you can use online resources like word generators or brainstorming tools to generate ideas quickly and easily. You could also use an agency or consultant to help you come up with an effective name that fits within your budget. Alternatively, if you have more money to spend, you could hire a professional designer or naming expert who can provide valuable insight into creating a memorable and unique brand name. Ultimately, the cost of creating your ideal brand name will depend on what services and resources are available to you.

What Are The Legal Implications Of Choosing A Brand Name?

Choosing a brand name for any business is an important decision, with legal implications that need to be taken into account. It’s essential to consider the trademark laws of the relevant jurisdiction before settling on a name. If the chosen name is already in use, or if it’s too similar to another existing trademark, there may be infringement issues that could put the business at risk.

When selecting a brand name, it’s also important to think about how it might look and sound. If a potential customer can’t pronounce the name or remember it easily, then your business won’t have much of an impact. Additionally, a good brand should evoke positive feelings and represent your company’s mission and values. Therefore, careful thought should go into creating a memorable logo that will be associated with your brand.

Making sure you choose the right name is crucial for protecting your business legally and maximizing its appeal to customers. Selecting carefully and thoroughly researching all available options will help ensure you’ve made the best choice possible for your barber salon’s brand name.

How Much Research Should Be Done Before Deciding On A Brand Name?

Choosing the right brand name is like picking the perfect diamond. The amount of research one should do before making a decision can determine how beautiful and valuable that diamond will be. It is essential to invest in finding the ideal name, as it will impact the success of your barber salon.

A great deal of effort should go into the research process. Not only must you investigate potential names for legal implications, but also for cultural relevance and influence. Doing so will give you an idea of which names would work best for your business’s needs and goals. You should also consider if a specific name can help to differentiate your salon from others in its market or if it provides a unique look that sets it apart from competitors.

This research can take time and effort, but it is worth it in the end. A strong, memorable brand name with appeal to your target market can help establish your business as a leader in its field. Allowing yourself enough time to make an informed decision on your chosen name is key to ensuring that you have made the best choice for both your business and customers alike.

What Are The Best Marketing Techniques For A Barber Salon?

When it comes to creating a successful barber salon, one of the most important aspects is marketing. An effective marketing strategy can help a business stand out from the competition and draw in customers. But what are the best marketing techniques for a barber salon?

First and foremost, word-of-mouth is an essential tool for any barbershop. Customers who are happy with their service will be more likely to tell their friends and family about it, leading to more customers. Additionally, having an attractive website and social media presence can also help attract new clients. Having an online portfolio of before-and-after photos is a great way to show potential customers what kind of work your salon does.

Additionally, networking with other local businesses can also be beneficial. Creating relationships with other businesses can provide opportunities for joint promotions or referrals. For example, a nearby spa might offer discounts on services when customers book at both locations. Finally, advertising in local papers or magazines is another great way to spread awareness of your barber shop and draw in new customers.

How Do I Know If A Brand Name Is Right For My Business?

Choosing the right brand name for your business is an important decision. It’s something that could potentially make or break your success. But how do you know if a brand name is right for you?

It all comes down to understanding your customers and creating a memorable, meaningful name that resonates with them. Here are some tips to ensure you choose the best brand name:

  • Research potential names carefully: Make sure the names you’re considering don’t already belong to another company or have any offensive connotations.
  • Keep it simple: The simpler and easier to remember, the better. A catchy, easy-to-pronounce name is always preferable.
  • Consider trends: If you want your business to be successful in the long run, it’s important to keep up with current trends and come up with an innovative name that stands out from the crowd.
  • Test it out: Once you’ve narrowed down your list of potential names, get feedback from friends, family and colleagues to see which one they prefer.

By taking these steps, you’ll be able to find a brand name that perfectly embodies your barber salon and communicates your message effectively. Whether it’s modern and cutting edge or classic and timeless, the perfect name is out there waiting for you!

Conclusion

Choosing the right brand name for your barber salon is a crucial decision. It could make or break the success of your business. You need to make sure you have done enough research and explored all legal implications before settling on a name.

Once you have chosen the perfect name, it’s time to get creative with your marketing strategies. Get people talking about your salon and start building a loyal customer base. Utilize targeted advertisements, create engaging content, and partner with influencers to reach more potential clients.

At the end of the day, trust your gut when it comes to selecting a brand name for your barber salon. With the right strategy in place, you’ll be well on your way to success! After all, nothing beats having an outstanding brand that reflects who you are and what you stand for as a business owner.

Game art is a complex sphere, which, on the one hand, embodies creativity and creativity, and on the other hand, a set of functions. Art to be used in games has a lot of features.

You could say that game art is as much an art form as any other form of visual art. What we make for games today will someday take its place in cultural history. Here the artist can find the same opportunities for creativity and self-expression.

But at the same time, the artist works with the entire development team and makes the art functional for the game.

Types of game artists

  • The concept artist is the most well-known and coveted type for most artists trying out and taking their first steps in the game industry. Everyone wants to draw concepts (especially – characters).
  • Character Artist.
  • Environment artist – creating locations, landscapes and objects;
  • Interface artist – a rarer and lesser known type. Not everyone knows these artists exist.
  • A lead artist is the most competent artist, a manager who is involved in designing the style of the game. It’s good if the lead can direct the artists on his or her team.

Choosing the ideal style.
There are three areas: audience perception, “lore,” and project genre (and its technical features).
Audience perception
Each of the styles listed earlier has a different audience. The first question you should ask yourself when designing a game is, “What audience do I want to attract? What does my audience expect from me?” The answer to that question lies in the gameplay.

The artist’s job is to understand what styles exist and what audiences they affect. In order to understand this, you have to constantly monitor the market and keep an eye on new projects. Each style has its own history among users, and you need to know it.

“Lore” and genre.
“Lore” is the history of the game. If you have a fantasy story in a minimalist style, it’s hard to add any witchcraft to it. Genre brings its own requirements and laws to the implementation of a game. Depending on what mechanics the game uses, it changes how it will look.

Technical Requirements
First of all they depend on what kind of devices your game is designed for. For example if we make a small game for Steam and draw some “fat” art that doesn’t work well on weak computers, users will be very unhappy. If we make a mobile game, it’s clear that we can’t do super polygonal 3D in it. There are mobile games designed for tablets and powerful smartphones that can afford to be quite demanding on hardware, because that’s how they position themselves. What tools you use will depend on what you can technically implement.

By combining these three aspects and finding something average that meets all the parameters, you will find the visual style of the game. The less you know about them at the beginning of the project, the more rework you will have to do in the process.

Designing a style of play
By going through the starter stage, you will save a lot of development time.

References
Once you have determined the style of the game, you need to search the Internet for references. If you don’t devote enough time and attention to this, then you will find out, for example, that someone has already done such a project. To find the best solution, you first need to ensure a good level of “vision”. Having collected all the found examples of games in the chosen style in a package, you need to highlight the positive features that can be used, and the negative – the mistakes that need to be taken into account.

Fake screenshot
A very interesting point. Even among developers with extensive experience in the game industry, not everyone is aware that this is a necessary stage of development. There are two definitions of a fake screenshot.

One of them is rather marketing: when during the development process the screenshots of the situations which haven’t been realized yet but will be soon, are collected from the existing in-game art. They are used for presentations.

The second is a fake screenshot, created from scratch. This is the screen of the game with the most common situation. For example, a battlefield. If the artist has a lot of experience (including with games, it’s very important – usually artists don’t play much) and observation, he has a rough idea of how the game should look like. A fake screenshot is created to see if the game can be what he imagines it to be.

You don’t have to draw everything to do this, you can borrow parts from other projects. But it is useless to try to combine them if you don’t have a vision of what a screenshot should look like. In this case, you need to progress in small steps. First make “skins” and estimate the right size, then the colors, then try out the style. When the picture comes to mind, you collect a fake snapshot.

At the stage of its creation a lot of issues are resolved: the color scheme, visual styles, the relative sizes. The fake screenshot is scanned on as many screens and devices as possible, to make sure it looks good everywhere.

In our last project, the work on the fake screenshot took a month. In the process, about a dozen solutions were discarded that would later prove to be not very good. This was discovered at the very first stage.

Screenshots of major game situations
The more game situations in the game, the more of these screenshots might be needed. If the developer and artist have a clear understanding of what happens on them, the stage can be skipped and start drawing content. If any screen in the game still raises questions, it is better to test it.

This method is best suited for mobile games in which the number of game situations is quite limited. There is a typical location, hero, playing field and situation on it.

Primary documentation
It is not clear to everyone why it should be done, especially if there are three or four people in the project.

In the process of creating documentation on the art, the team finally understands what they are doing. The document describes the audience for which the project is intended, its genre, technical features, and style. It also contains references and types of content. For example, you do “match-3”, and then you have the backdrop of the game, the playing field, the chips and interface elements. It’s very good if you schedule time to work on each piece of content at this stage.

These descriptions will save you a lot of time in future development, especially if your team is going to scale.

The post Purpose of the concept art appeared first on 9Giantsteps.

]]>
The history of the concept art that we now know from many digital portals, as usual, has its roots in the deep past. Much further back than the 1930s, when the term concept art was rumored to have been first coined by Walt Disney Feature Animation. Right back to the days of the first artists. Not the ones who painted mammoths on rocks, but the ones who turned visual art into a profession in its own right.

Artists at all times made sketches before painting, and of course it was impossible to grow without these sketches, because daily practice and study is what makes growth possible, and what makes the subsequent transition from quantity to quality toward new lessons and the unknown.

Thus, underneath the beautiful term, as is often the case, is a truth as old as the world. In the same way, there are all kinds of entities around us, covered up in catchy terms, but they are ordinary, ancient, thousand-year-old bicycles that have been discovered.

We are not going to try to cover what cannot be covered in this article, and will focus our attention only on concept-art, which can be related to games and movies, in other words – concept-art of the entertainment industry.

The main purpose of concept art is to create in the shortest possible time a sketch or layout of an object, which can then be put into production. With minimal loss of time you can choose the best concept, thereby saving time and money. Because in the case of approval of the concept run “flywheel machines” other specialists, and in the case of the game industry based on the concepts create models, locations and other game entities.

In the case of the film industry, models or prototypes of real-world entities, such as the Titanic model or the life-size Davy Jones ghost ship used in Pirates of the Caribbean, start to be developed. A mistake at the concept level, incorrectly approved and put into production, could result in multi-million dollar losses. In addition will be lost a second no less precious resource – time.

Besides the fact that concept art saves time and allows you to cut off unnecessary things at the earliest stages, it is a powerful tool for creating the world. Without it, the people creating the world won’t get a coherent view of what’s being created. Because a concept in the head and a concept on paper are not the same thing. Yes, every day we see pictures in our heads, imagine something, but our heads think in images, while we need specifics. And when we transfer these specifics to the canvas, we suddenly realize that not everything is perfect, and that what was good in words, is not impressive in a finished concept.

Developing concept art is an integral part of developing anything from building a house to launching the development of a new car. Or maybe a new popular mobile device that is supposed to bring the world to its knees. A particular case of such concept art will long remain in the patent library, a reminder of the prolific nature of Steve Jobs.
Let me be clear – I’m not an Apple fan, I don’t even own a touch-screen device, but I do respect those who go forward and achieve their goals. This person fully deserves it. The only thing is that patents like this are a very shaky field. With one artist in hand, you could patent the entire world, mapping out the existing objects and potential objects in it, hectare by hectare, the main thing is to have imagination.

Techniques for creating concept art

The concept can be conveyed using any material that exists on earth. Even sand from the beach can serve as a material for creating concept art. Let’s forget the classical ways of creating it, let’s stop using pens, pencils, pens and brushes for a moment and let’s look at cinematography.

There are iconic people and iconic products that are always on the cutting edge of existing industries. There are several such people in the film industry, and the first people that come to my mind are Ridley Scott and James Cameron. Today, more than anything else, I would like to mention the latter. James Cameron isn’t just famous for DeCaprio sinking on the grand piano or even for his global shootings of the sinking of the giant ship. In that case, his contribution to filmmaking would not have been so obvious. “Avatar,” for all its spectacle and the wide range of modern technology used in it, is also not the target of my strike.

I suggest you dive deeper into cinematic history by focusing on the 1986 film “Aliens.” James Cameron is known to have had his hands all over the project during filming, and not a single detail of this landmark film was left untouched.
He was, and still is, different because he always knows what he wants. He always knows what what he’s creating should look like and why. And if the concept-artists working with him fail to fully realize what he needs – he takes up the cause himself. Namely… for children’s models.

James Cameron’s sketches for Alien. It should be noted that, among other things, he is an excellent drawer, which gives him the ability to communicate his ideas to his subordinates with maximum detail, both logical and visual.

James is known to have failed to get the technique he was interested in from his employees. Without thinking twice, he went to a children’s store, bought models of assembled equipment and assembled from their fragments what he originally needed. That’s how the samples of sci-fi equipment were born, which to this day look relevant. Which, to this day, can be cited as an example to other designers.

I must say that the technogenic style he developed for “Aliens”, I mean not only machinery, but also elements of the environment, including architectural design, for many years became the standard and was used to create a lot of Sci-Fi films, games, comics and pictures. This style is successfully exploited to this day by a variety of offices. Among the latest games that come to mind is Doom 3.

Directions of street art stand out when looking at the actions of artists from different perspectives. For example, leaving only tags containing team names or personal signatures cannot, up to a certain point, be characterized as a political protest. Especially since the artists themselves may be far from politics. The usual bombing, which is where graffiti began. The situation would be completely different if the content of the graffiti was associated with something revolutionary. Usually the separation of trends is made on the basis of:

the relationship to specific types of art, such as graphics, sculpture, volumetric installations;
presence of elements of the general style in art – pop-art, non-conformism, modern and similar currents;
outweighing of characteristic specific features – artists tend to leave a lot of their inscriptions or work out every detail, the main thing for them is to cause a mood or change the appearance of the street.

Based on this, their own styles of street art emerge, which are often based on imitation. Someone’s drawings or inscriptions get popular, while others tend to create something similar. So what are the most common types of artwork in the city?

Graffiti
Graffiti is traditionally the name given to inscriptions. A variety of fonts are used to create them, and some work involves turning letters into images. For example, the letter “o” may be depicted as a face, and the letter “k” as a man. It is generally accepted that the technique of street art is divided into styles, which relate mainly to the manner of drawing the inscriptions and the conditions of work:

throw-up is the simplest style, involving the use of one or two colors – one for the outline and one for the fill. A favorite style of those who do bombing;
Blockbuster – also easy to do. It is characterized by brighter letters, which are massive and often cube-shaped. From it stands out the style of Bubble. This is almost the same, but the letters look like bubbles;
WildStyle – is based on the interweaving of a very large number of contours, which makes it very difficult to read the lettering.

The directions of graffiti do not set any limits. Everyone paints the way he likes … WildStyle, or wild style, emerged as a reaction of artists to how they saw walls where fellow artists had already worked. Everything comes out naturally and depends mostly on how the hand goes. As strange as it may sound, good lettering comes from a person with a can of paint in her without thinking about technique.

Drawings on walls.
They can be created by themselves, or they can be combined with inscriptions. And there are no rules here. Authors who have a true skill and appropriate education create the most professional graphics. Those same guys, to whom the main thing is self-expression, can create abstract paintings, focusing primarily on the intertwining of lines and colors of their works.

Stencils .
It’s possible to create silhouettes with precise contours without them, but unreasonably difficult. Even if he works without any device, he uses at least some technical means – marking large space or tracing contours with a projector. Stencils are no worse. The more so that a real artist makes them himself, and if he uses some means of automation during stencil creation, it is not to the detriment of the creative idea.

Murals
Murals are big drawings, which occupy the whole wall. The most common type of official street art. Illegally to draw such a huge picture can only be somewhere in the back of the city, on some outskirts, where no one cares what the wall will be.

Stickers
Small stickers, which are not very popular due to the fact that they merge with advertising. More often than not, stickers are used to spread some sort of slogan or image related to the game. The main game of all street art artists is capturing the space, spreading information in the widest way. For this purpose, stickers are best suited. True, not always and not for all.

Posters
As a stand-alone method of creative activity is practically not used. Only a few artists in Russia have experimented with posters and stickers. For example, in St. Petersburg posters were pasted around the city with passion by designer Agon Noga.

Installations
They are not that rare guests in the urban environment, but they are directly related to the street art with its own traditions when the artists try to add some real volumetricity to the inscriptions and drawings. In any case, the installations make us think of pop art rather than classic street art based on graffiti.

Sticker art is a form of street art in which images are carried by stickers. The content of such stickers can be varied, and includes many subcategories of graffiti. Stickers began to proliferate in the early 2000s and have often appeared in large cities, such as on trash cans, road signs and house walls. Shepard Fairey is considered the pioneer of this art form.

Upt-art is “apartment art.” Upt-art is a term invented by the artist Nikita Alekseev for the home exhibition that is arranged in the early 80’s as a special exposition genre that became a bright artistic phenomenon and an original, purely Russian contribution to the development of contemporary art. Apt-art – art created with the expectation of such a way of demonstration.

Visionary Art – an artistic style based on the spontaneous depiction of the seen in an altered state of consciousness, religious, meditative contemplation, trance, as well as flashbacks arising after the so-called “trips”.

Conceptual Art – an art movement designed to convey the idea of a work of art visually, but not in terms of form or outward attributes. Usually created in the early stages of project development and intended for use in films, computer games, comic books before creating the final version. Also called “concept design.” Not to be confused with conceptual art.

Furry art, also known as “furry art,” is artwork with anthropomorphic (humanized) animals as its subject. Furry art is artwork created within the context of a furry subculture as the main target audience, or, less frequently, artwork with anthropomorphic animal characters, intended for a wider audience.

Latte art (from Italian Latte art, “milk” + “art”) is a special way of pouring foamed milk into espresso, thanks to which different patterns are created on the surface of coffee. Patterns can also be created by simply drawing on the top layer of foam, for example with a toothpick or other sharp object. Latte-art requires a precise observance of the proportions of milk and coffee.

Surf Art is an art movement that emerged at the beginning of the 20th century. It is distinguished by using elements of impressionism, postimpressionism, surrealism, abstract and paradoxical combinations of forms. Surf art includes paintings, sculptures and various design elements that depict authentic surfing, lifestyle and everything that can be associated with it.

Public art (Public art; art in public space) – art in an urban environment, aimed at the unprepared viewer and implying communication with the urban space.

Land Art, an art movement that emerged in the United States in the late 1960s, in which the work created by the artist was inextricably linked to the natural landscape. Land art works were not external to the landscape, but rather used it as a form and a means of creating a work of art. Often the works were performed in an open and remote space away from populated areas, in which they were left to themselves and the action of natural forces.

Pop Art – a movement in art in the 1950s and 1960s, which emerged as a reaction to Abstract Expressionism, using images of consumer products.
The image borrowed from popular culture, placed in a different context:
The scale and material are changed;
the technique or technical method is exposed;
information clutter is revealed, etc.

Body art is one of the forms of avant-garde art, where the main object of creativity is the human body, and the content is revealed with the help of non-verbal language: poses, gestures, facial expressions, the application of signs, “decorations” on the body. The object of body art can also be drawings, photos, videos and moulage of the body.

Mail-art is a type of modern fine art that uses postage stamps and other postal materials as a visual medium.

Street art – visual art, the distinctive feature of which is a pronounced urban style.
The main part of street art is graffiti (otherwise known as spray art), but we cannot assume that street art is graffiti. Street art also includes posters (non-commercial), stencils, various sculptural installations, etc. In street art, every detail, detail, shadow, color, line is important. The artist creates his own stylized logo – a “unique sign” and depicts it on parts of the urban landscape. The most important thing in street art is not to appropriate the territory, but to engage the viewer in a dialogue and show a different storyline.

Fan art is a type of artwork by fans of popular works of art, a derivative drawn work based on some original work (usually literary or cinematic), using its plot ideas and (or) characters. It has also become popular to draw fan art for games.
