New Neko Case, and a cool/virtuous marketing approach to boot

I’ve expressed my love and admiration for the work of Neko Case here before, and I’m delighted to say that on the eve of her new record, Middle Cyclone, being released my fandom both for her artistry and her marketing savvy continues to grow.

To wit, here’s the unbelievably great new song, “People Got a Lotta Nerve”:

People Got A Lotta Nerve – Neko Case

The song speaks for itself.

As for the marketing, by embedding this song in my blog, Neko’s label, Anti, will donate $5 to the Best Friends Animal Society. To get your own and do your part, go HERE.

I feel (and try to teach my students) that adding a social component to all your business efforts is not just the right karmic thing to do, but also good for business. Now I’ve got an excellent example.

Very cool. This totally establishes a value system. It creates an alignment between artist and beliefs. Awesome.

Interesting post. I have made a twitter post about this. Others no doubt will like it like I did.
