point/counter-point on the “millennials”

A subject that is close to him for me, because I teach them every day, is how best to relate to people born between 1980 and 1995.

My sense is that it’s absolutely incorrect and foolhardy to attempt to impose non-millennial values on them, and be upset when they don’t respond the way non-millennials want them them to.

For me, it’s all about presenting something of value in an honest and open way, and then allowing them to come to this information on their own terms…or not.

Perhaps this is an oversimplification. However, the back and forth between the reporting of 60 Minutes, and the counter-point from Signal vs. Noise sort of gives me a headache.
